My Dearest Beloved Gracie Belle,
You were suddenly taken from us in the most horrible way. I want to say first of all how very sorry Mommy is that I rolled down that window so far. I had no idea or thought in a million years you would leap for the last time. I should have remembered you were just a baby and been more cautious. Nevertheless that day will forever haunt me.
I find peace in knowing you are in a beautiful place with no fences and lots and lots of friends. You are experiencing the love of our Father and the boundless joy being free can bring. My heart aches every time I think of you. Even though you were only in our lives for 4 months you will forever be in our memory as the sweet beautiful puppy that touched our very souls. in a meadow with butterflies.
I told her how happy you were the day before the worst day of my life happened, when you were leaping and running (almost pulling my arm off) to get to those butterflies. She misses you. Your Daddy is so sad and misses you more than you will ever know. Our home will never be the same again. Until we are reunited in Heaven, you will always have a special place in our hearts. I love you so very much, Gracie Belle. I miss you so bad it hurts.
