Mika by Sandy Alu-Peil / Mommy

My Dearest Mika,

We helped each other through a lot of rough times. I swear you were a dog with 9 lives. The past 13 years you showed me unconditional love, support and friendship. Always there to greet me if I ever dare left you at home.

I look around the place and see memories of you everywhere. Dalmatian cups, magnets, potholders, towels, stuffed animals, pictures………the list goes on. I see your beautiful self in many pictures of the family.

I am so glad to know that we took you on your last car ride with us. I wouldn’t leave you at home or with someone else. You got to play in the snow like a little puppy.
I thank God that you were well enough to come back and wake up Mommy and Daddy so that we could help you. Thank you Mika. I did the best I could for you, I was there the day you were born and til I felt the last beat of your heart. I felt guilt for putting you to sleep forever, but I know now that it was the only thing we could do for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful smiles, sneezes and spins. We miss you so much, words can’t express the sorrow. One day my heart will be filled with joy as I look back at the memories instead of all this sadness.

Smokey and I visit your grave everyday. Mommy even planted all those purple blooming flowers on there for you. No more peeing on my flowers now, the flowers will survive, lol.
Rest in peace my little angel.

No longer deaf, no longer blind, forever young.
You are in my heart and part of my soul.
Mika
