Today at exactly 4.03pm my heart was broken as I layed next to my dog and watched as her heart stopped beating.Bailey you will never be forgotten as we not only lost our much loved pet, but we also lost a member of our family, our friend, our companion, our body guard and protector. Bailey as I held you and cried with you my heart was being torn apart. I am so sorry Bailey I prayed for a miracle but it just didn’t come.I wanted so much to bring you home but I knew that that was the right thing for me to do but it would not have been the right thing for you. There will never be another Bailey You will never ever be forgotten.We will always love you.
Please forgive me Bailey.

Our best friend closed her eyes tonight,
As her head was in my lap
My arms wrapped around, holding her tight
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And Oh…her many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense “I love you gaze”,
Only a heart that’s filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
The doctor came and said it was time
With a heavy heart and tears falling
I held you tight, as the needle went in
My heart broke as Bailey you were there no more
Then a Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, “You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE’s installed a ‘doggy-door’!!!
So go now BAiley
Make your paw mark in heaven
As you have left your mark with us
We love you and will miss you,
Bailey.
