From the first time I laid eyes on you
I knew I had to have you.
You were such a frail & homely little guy…
and I wanted to make you well.
You blossomed into such a handsome dog,
so beautiful…so gentle.
It is so hard to believe
I will never see you again.
I’ve lost my shadow…you followed me everywhere.
I’ll never see your tail wiggle with happiness, hear you speak or cuddle up
with you after a long day.
You had many names…Brutus McFrutus, Stinkerpants, Mr Lover & JuiceTiger!
You loved to run free, chase birds
& play with Brother Bud.
I hope you are running and playing in a large green pasture…free of fences, collars & pain.
You have been my best friend
for the past 15 years.
You loved me unconditionally, protected me and helped me through so many hardships.
You will never be replaced and never forgotten.
I will always love you
and cherish all our memories forever.
