In 1993, I was taken to the local animal shelter by the now ex-husband to see this Siamese kitten that he found and had fallen in love with. I walked in, picked her up and she curled up in my arms and fell asleep. It was love at first sight. We both loved Scotland so we named her after the Flower of Scotland, Heather and Pattipaws because she loved to pat our cheeks when we loved on her. That was a little over 17 years ago. She has been with me through a lot and has loved and been loved through it all. When I went through my first seizure.. she sat on one side of me while Jorie, the other cat I had at the time, sat on the other side and would not let me move. She has been with me through a lot of tears, happy times and some very sad time. She was my support when I was getting divorced from the ex.
She was diagnosed several years ago with Diabetes but was diagnosed with Renal failure about 3 months ago. Unfortunately, something that she did not overcome. I am going to miss my Heather, sitting in my lap on cold nights in front of the fire watching tv together. And the unconditional love that she has given me over the years. She is also going to be missed by David, Maggie and Zararose. You are my sweet girl and I love you very much and will miss you terribly.. I love you and for all of the 17 years I have had you in my life……..
With all of my love,
