Lexus, you always made us smile…I remember the day I first saw you. You were so small and had a soft brown coat and an all black muzzle. You were always looking to play and then you decided to use the dining room chairs as your chew toy! You were always so loving and comforted everyone when they were feeling sad. You used to run around in the yard all day, chasing squirrels and birds. I remember I used to throw your pink football around and you used to go fetch it. Then, when you were about five years old, someone left the gate open and you got hit by a car. 🙁 Luckily, you were saved and all you had to do was wear a cast on your front leg. Each day with you was a good day! As you grew older, smarter, and bigger, you began to wind down. Now, just recently, you weren’t feeling good. You began to get sick and we didn’t know what to do. You started bleeding and it got to the point where you couldn’t even walk. We all DID NOT want to put you down, but we knew it was the right thing for you…you were suffering and it broke my heart to see you like that. You began to go hide in the backyard, as the vet said you wanted to die in dignity because you loved us too much and you didn’t want us to see you or for us to feel bad for you in that painful stage…As you lay on the table in the vet, all I could remember are your big brown beautiful eyes whispering “thank you for not letting me suffer anymore.” I know your soul is at Rainbow Bridge now because YOU WERE THE BEST DOG I EVER HAD! Your birthday is next month and I will miss you even more. Every day now I look at your bowls, empty, and I always say when is she coming home and then I realize I will only see you in heaven<3 R.I.P. my baby girl, my pupsicles, my wittle girl, my big momma, my sexi Lexi, my sista from another mista, my puppy, but most of all my BEST FRIEND<3 04/15/99-03/07/11 I think of you each and every day, we all love and miss you, Lexus!<33
