Our Fur Baby
We got Sissy at a Flea Market when she was (7) weeks old. She was just a little fur ball. We brought her home and introduced her to String Bean, thinking that she would like her new little friend. She was none to happy! She was jealous and didn’t mind letting us know it. We had to separate them for about a week, until things calmed down a little. Before we knew it, they had become best friends. Sissy grew over night and became the BIG Sister, rather than the little sister. Whatever String did, Sissy followed. I’ve never had it so easy house breaking a pup. String would go out of the doggie door and Sissy would be right behind her. So there was never an accident in the house, thanks to String! Sissy was such a easy dog to raise. No matter what you were doing, she was happy. She never got sick, never was a picky eater, she was just a great dog! Even up to the last breath, she took. Sissy started going down hill right after her 14th birthday.
Her belly started to swell and we took her to the vet and had her checked out. We had been through pretty much the same symptoms earlier with String Bean. The Vet said it was Cancer. We brought her home and she done OK for a couple of weeks, then she started getting worse. We took her back to the vet, mainly to get his advise on what he thought we should do. As my husband was getting Sissy out of the truck, she passed away…She didn’t want us to have to pay for another visit, or expensive treatment, or have to see us go through with the heart break of watching her get worse. So, she left us before we even could get in the Vet’s office door. We miss her so much. We love you Big Girl…
God Took Our Angel Home:
There’s a candle burning bright,
for a Special Angel in Heaven tonight.
God took our Teddy Bear Home.
Sissy gave us fourteen wonderful years,
they’ll be happy memories, sadness and tears.
God took our Love-Love Home.
She had pointed ears, thick black fur as soft as cotton,
and a heart full of Love. Oh, it was so easy to spoil Her rotten.
God took our Big-Un Home.
She took showers with Mom and rolled on the floor with Dad,
She played with Twinkie, oh what fun they had.
God took our Loved One Home.
Sissy mothered everything that was ever so little,
even though she never had her own liter.
She’d cuddle up next to them,
She was such a sweet baby sitter.
God took our Sweet Girl Home.
God Bless you , Sissy Girl.
You will always be loved and missed by your Dad, Mom and little Sis, Twinkie.
