The Love of Niki!

Niki was brought home as a 6 week old beautiful basset pup. Quickly we learned of her independence and stubbornness. From the antics of not liking the vacuum to showing us she was mad when a certain toy was taken away.(As she showed Chris and peed on his bed) She quickly reminded us who the boss was..(Her)Short legs gave her the advantage of loving children and the perfect height to sharing their ice cream.
She loved to sleep, but would be ready to go in an instant. Her passion was her family and we all knew it. She loved camping,(sleeping in the middle), fishing, the snow, the tulips, and BUGS!

The cabin was her favorite place to be off leash and see what was to eat at every camp sight. The 2 am call to the door just to go out and smell the fresh air and look for bugs was a favorite thing to do.(Come on Justin lets go!)Everyone of our camping friends loved her and she even has a special bowl at Cynde & Dave’s sight.

She didn’t care to much for her life jacket for fishing, but as long as she was with her family, she was a happy dog. There are many boat memories of her walking the boat side like a gymnast to knowing where the boat snacks were and even licking 1 fish.

Our lives will never be the same with her gone! Her unconditional love and greetings when we arrived home will be terribly missed. Her beautiful Niki hair that is everywhere will travel with us through out our lives!
We have all been blessed by having the love of Niki.
Until we meet again…..
