My dearest Pebbles, this is my tribute for you.
Though you may not have had the time to learn how to read during your time on earth, hopefully by
now God has taught you.
It all began at Forest South Animal Clinic.
I was a mere 4 years old, but I remember this day more clear than most days.
All I know is that it was you and your brother.
Both the cutest little pups I’ve ever layed my eyes on.
First up was your brother, charming but calm.
I fell in love, and I had almost made my choice to take him home.. until this next little fur ball scurries into the room.
At that moment,
That was it. There was no other options.
She would be mine, and I would be hers.
Our adventure together would be like no others.
So, we brought her home.
2 names, Pebbles or Prinkles.
It was Pebbles, no doubt.
She was the craziest, squirmiest, hyperist pup.
But I was that way too when I was 4.
From then on we grew up together,
we were eachothers.. we were sisters.
Wrestling all day long,
You would bite my shirt so I’d bite yours.
But to naiiveness that wasn’t a shirt.. but your skin. oops!
Do you remember being my dancing queen?
I do. <3
Years went on, we were still together.
Sometimes I wondered if you were my own air bud!
Playing soccer with me and running with me when I was on my bike.
Oh the adventures we'd go on!
You'd be my partner in crime,
my adventure partner,
my magical wizard dog,
and even at one point you were Sandy from Little Orphan Annie!
Oh how we loved each other.
As the years went by the less we saw of eachother,
but don't be sad,
you'd still sleep with me every night :]
well.. whenever you weren't with momma.
I remember when I used to give you walks,
man you were such a homebody!
We'd get 2 blocks away from home & you'd escape from your leash and run all the way home!
You were such a homebody when we'd let you out,
we wouldn't even have to close the gate because you just wouldn't leave!
But on that odd occasion when you did..
you'd go to the front door. haha
Jeez Pebbles, you were great.
I hope God is enjoying you :]
I know he is,
but maybe not how your trying to take his food.
You always did that.
Dog food is for dogs pebbles!
You were so smart we'd even spell icecream and you'd know what we meant!
Oh and you were just the best gentle lady,
always opening the back door for me. <3
I promise I could write to you forever Pebs,
but I know God'll fill you in the rest.
Everyone misses you Pebs,
Amber, Daddy, Mommy, Jeff, Audrey, Sarah, Elijah, the girls, our family, neighbors, and the kids.
And maybe the most, me.
I can't wait to see you again on Rainbow Bridge,
I don't know how long it'll be,
but just keep your head out on the horizon.
And one day you'll see me.
Do you remember the last thing I said to you?
I know you were drunk, (was it fun? hehe)
but incase you don't remember,
"Pebbles, we had the finest adventure together.
An adventure no owner could ever forget.
Even though our's is over now, don't forget it.
I know I won't and I'll always keep it close to me.
Have fun on your next big adventure.
See you soon. I love you, and sweetdreams."
In conclusion Pebbies,
if I could pick 5 words to describe you,
it would be.
1. hyper
2. loveable
3. loyal
4. soft
5. p e r f e c t.
You hold a place dear in my heart
that no other can hold a part.
You're so lucky you get to be in heaven,
I can't wait to see you when I'm ninety seven ;]
I'll bring you some icecream
if you promise we can relive my dream.
The night we put you to rest Pebbles.
I had the most amazing dream of us.
We were together.
Running down the halls of the house like we did,
but the hall way was longer with many turns.
At first you were my handicapped pebbles,
and I was me now at 16.
We turned, and you were fixed, young maybe 10
happy again. and so was I.
The next turn, even younger and more full of life
And the last, we were little.
You a puppy & me a toddler.
It's a dream I'll never forget.
Everyone loves you Pebbles.
Don't forget to ask God to fill you in!
P.S.
Tell the rest of the family pets I love them!
P.S.S
You. Will. Forever. Be. My. Pretty. Girl. <3
