Brownie by Katie / Mommy and Daddy

Brownie, the kitty that everyone loved, and who loved everyone. When I was dating my (now) husband, I first met her. Her small stature couldn’t hide her huge heart and spirit. She came over to me, lay on my lap and began to purr loudly and knead happily as if she were greeting a long lost companion. 6 year passed since then, and I’ve seen the same thing happen with every guest in the house.

Any time I was feeling sad, insecure, or sick, Brownie would come over and look at me with her sweet and loving eyes, and I would hold her, pet her, and take comfort in her purring. She even had a sweet, almost honey smell on her head and chest.

Brownie, you were taken before I wanted to let you go. But when you got sick, I knew you needed to go. I hope you felt my presence, and my touch in your final moments. I hope I was able to bring some comfort to you as the light faded from your eyes. I love you now, and always. Rest in peace baby girl.
