Simba by Teresa Cannatella / Sister and Friend

Simba, you have gone from this world but you are not gone from my heart. All the joy and memories will still remain with me. And i will always have a little piece of you from the beautiful baby girl you have given me. Simba now you are together with your sister Angel and your Uncle Koko roaming the grassy meadows over that rainbow bridge and have that joy you once had back. I will always love you and miss you but you will never be forgotten.

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor….
then I remember,
it’s where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall,
and muted echoes sound….
then I remember,
It’s where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard around the house,
then I remember it can’t be yours….
your golden voice is still.
But I’ll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted halls
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I’ll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

With Love,
Simba
