You were with us for many years and you’ll never be forgotten. Most would say you were mean, impolite and just downright nasty, but I know that beneath that tough exterior was the sweet purring, loveable cat that you were to those you loved. Nobody who wasn’t so close dared to cross your path, and for most of your life you were the King of the household and our other pets always yielded the right of way to you. Even the cancer that eventually took you from us had to battle your will to survive for months and months.
You and I were very close, and I’m going to miss those times when you would sit next to me and extend your paw out to get me to pet you when I stopped for more than a few minutes. I’ll miss that soft purr and the look in your face when I rubbed the inside of your ears. Mostly, I’ll miss you and that giant personality that was as much a part of our lives as was night and day.
Rest in peace, Rosco…We love you very much.
