Sierra by Ron & Donna Campbell / Mom & Dad

Our Sierra came to live with us on Memorial Day in 2004. She was a little shy when we picked her up, deciding to try and hide under a desk. After a few days at her new home, her energetic personality came out. She loved the freedom of our home on a golf course with no fences. She chased geese on the course, played endlessly with our neighbors, fetched balls and took long walks with her Mom. Her favorite thing early on was going with Dad to the local post office and hauling trash to the dump.

Her first home was in California but she moved to Oregon with Mom and Dad in 2006. In her new home, we got a lot of snow and she loved getting hit with snow balls. She got to visit horses and llamas in our area and continued taking long walks with Mom. She loved to explore but one day she wandered out on a frozen-over lake, the ice broke and she learned very quickly how to swim to shore. Sierra traveled to many places with Mom & Dad, especially loving the ocean and the beach. She loved running loose, chasing sticks and tearing up seaweed. She always traveled well until later in life when she got a bit nervous in the car and hated going to the vet.

Sierra moved to her final home in Eagle Point, OR in 2009. Still many walks, a lot of trips to cities in Oregon and back to California. In late 2009, Sierra got a little sister, Kaylee…another Rat Terrier. They were best buddies and Kaylee loved her big sis. Later came another little sister, Tawny…another Rat Terrier. All three were so close to each other. It was a wonderful family of “Ratters.” However, Sierra always remained top dog, showing and training the others what to do. She loved both of them so much.

Sierra was the most loving and devoted dog anyone could ask for; so smart and so much fun. Our home is so empty without her and we all miss her so much. We think of her each day but can now laugh at all the funny things she did and all the good times with her and how everyone loved this great little dog. We look forward to seeing you again at the Rainbow Bridge. We will always love you Sierra. You enriched our lives so much. You were the best dog ever!

We miss you so much!
