She knew.I know she knew.Her eyes begged me for help.The night before we made the trip to the vet Chey laid by my side all night,as close as possible.Which wasn’t her (she liked "her space").But that night she licked my face all night.Saying goodybe & thanking me,I believe.But still in my heart it was the most horrible but humane thing I ever did.
