Originally my foster Siberian, Akira quickly became a permanent member of our family after being rescued. She was our spitfire and was very stubborn.We lost Akira 1 year ago this month — on Easter Day of 2005 after a freak accident. Her love and life inspired us to dedicate our time and available funds to Siberian Husky Rescue. We know that she is now helping Ginger, her angelic Brittany sister that passed away 1 week ago today at 17 years old, over the Rainbow Bridge. Akira, you are our special girl and your life was not in vain. You have now saved quite a few huskies and there are three here now that you helped.We will always love you and you’ll be in our hearts forever.Until we meet again my little spitfire! 🙂
