You came into my life one day,
and filled my heart with love.
A special blessing sent by God,
from heaven up above.
You looked at me with big brown eyes,
and never held a grudge.
You thought I was too wonderful,
to criticize or judge.
Ten “awesome” years you spent with me,
you made my life complete.
You gave me so much happiness,
the days were “oh so sweet.”
And when the angels took you home,
to free you from your pain.
It broke my heart to let you go,
the tears, they fell like rain.
God held you in his arms that day,
at the Rainbow Bridge above.
He gently placed a pair of wings,
upon your back with love.
Although I miss you dearly,
my special “furry friend.”
You truly were devoted,
right to the very end!
