REXY

Rexy was a puppy that was proud
He rode a dusty trail
where kitties weren’t allowed.
Rexy was a six-gun pooch
on a puppy chow trail
He spent his nights
on the prairie and days
he chased his tail.

Oh Rexy he hung out
at the prairie dog saloon
and every night at closing time
he’d howl at the moon.
Rexy ol’ Rexy
hot on a kitties trail
He spent his nights
on the prairie and days
he chased his tail.

Then one day ol’ Rexy
he met a stray in town.
He took her beside him and
they jumped and played around.
Rexy was a mighty rustlin’ pup
from a way out western town.
He herded cattle all day long
and always finished by sundown.

Rexy ol’ Rexy—a lone cow puppy.
