SMIDGE by Jan Randell / Mummy

Softly,silently,she comes in the night

Golden eyes shining with soft gentle light

Gently,she jumps upon my bed

Nudging me with her little dark head

A deep rumbling from inside

As she lies so gently by my side

The rumbling turns to a gentle purr

As my arms enfold her soft dark fur

Little wet nose beneath my chin

Time for sleep now,my darling “Min”.

We pray our lord

You will take care of

SMIDGE

Until we meet her at

RAINBOW BRIDGE.

With everlasting love and always in my heart.
