with a yip and a yap
always there for me
to make me laugh.
The time has gone by
so very fast
am i wrong to not work harder
to make it last?
You licked me, bit me, snuggled with me
to show your love for me
but after today, no more
i had to let you go.
My heart hurts
my eyes stay wet
you are no longer here
for me to pet.
With great sadness
i write these words down
i try to speak
but can make no sound.
You came into my life
