Playing with a fuzzy toy,
Chewing on a stick,
Tugging on the garden hose,
You never miss a trick.
Greeting everyone you meet,
Even little slugs,
Licking at a dandelion,
Sniffing all the bugs.
Things that you can teach your friends,
About life and love.
Stop and smell the marigolds,
Watch the clouds above.
See the blades of grass grow,
Chase a butterfly.
Watch the crows land in the trees,
Squirrels rushing by.
Now and then a bunny
Shows it’s little face.
Geese fly way up overhead,
To a warmer place.
Tails are meant for chasing,
When there’s nothing else to do.
Otherwise, just close your eyes,
And dream of me and you.
Always in our hearts,
