I remember when you first came into my life
you cut into my heart just like a knife
all you wanted was a home to call your own
and this way you would never have to rome

I knew god meant us to be two
you made me feel really good
when I saw you I know you would
as you grew to become my girl
you were like a priceless pearl
as we grew together in time

because you would always remove my frown

you used to rest your head on my shoulder

and see what god made me realize
that our time together would not be forever
but what we had between us could only be by god’s touch

when God see’s fit for us to see each other
