Every other worry (To Ginger)
Thanks little friend for some of the best times
Thank you for your gift of love
That showed up in oh so many ways
Thanks for the sweet memories
Thank you for your days.
Thanks for your wet kisses
That washed away the blues
and every other worry
never really mattered
when you layed across my shoes.
You never wanted much
Just food and Love and water
A great friend for me
and to my aged Mother
you were her little daughter.
For eight short years you graced this Earth
I wish I could re-live those days
When a joyfull puppy
with wonder in her eyes
Danced and romped and played.
On the last day, when you were put down
I hope you held no fear
I hope you know, you were loved
They put you in my arms
I could not stop the tears.
Ginger I can’t tell you how much you are missed
I think of you every day
I miss your warm little body
If there’s a God in Heaven
Then you are there to stay.
Thanks for your wet kisses
That washed away the blues
and every other worry
never really mattered
when you layed across my shoes.
