Australian Shepherd Mix
We got Cinnamon when my youngest daughter turned 8.
It was her birthday present from her mommy & daddy.
Little did I realize at the time that little pup would become my
friend my companion and confidant.
She always knew when things weren’t right and she was
always there with her mouth wide open & her tail wagging.
When I went thru my divorce she became my sounding board.
When my daughters friend died at the age of 17 she never left
her side always pushing her nose into her hand cuddling next to her.
So many memories.
The night she became sick it was one of the most devastating times
for me and my daughter. She wasn’t sick the day before.
When we had to make the decision of letting her go to sleep or suffer
we knew what we had to do even though our hearts were breaking.
I stayed with my friend that night till she went to sleep.
I felt it was the least I could do for my friend,
my companion my confidant.
God Bless you Cinnamon
I will see you again.
