Twinkle by Joanne / Mommy

It was a cold November night I was with my friend Sara who had decided to go along to bank and treat me to a Kentucky fried chicken. We crossed the main road in happy spirits chatting away until we came to a car park as I looked up and across the park I thought I saw a cat, as I got closer I realized it was indeed a cat; she was wet hunrgy but so friendly, in need of a little TLC .

My friend picked her up and popped her into her jacket where she would be warm and snug, we carried her across the main road got our chicken and headed home, believing she had gotten lost from the houses opposite from us.

We put her down made sure she was ok, not near the main road and headed home. I heard a meow and turned around and there she was looking with expectant eyes. I have to say 3 times we tried to encourage her to go to where we thought she belonged, but she followed us with that pityful meow until we were a fair way near home.

My friend Sara said to me “come on were taking her home!” We did, no one claimed her even through endless advertisements in local shops and super markets. I’m glad they didn’t; she was my best friend has nursed all of my children, defended the house from various cats and was always there in times of need. The best 12 years of my life.
Thank you Twinkle for being my best friend….

Sweetdreams my friend,
Twinkle
