This the story of a courageous little dog that brought so much happiness and love into our hearts. Molly “B” as we lovingly called her was at least 17 years old if not older. She belonged to my niece and nephew, Mike and Linda Clark. No one knew her exact date of birth because she had been left behind when her previous owners
moved away and left her.
Molly wandered into Mikes office one day after crossing a busy highway and after passing several other open doors went straight to Mike’s office. She must have known Mike would be a push over for a sweet little black dog. Mike of course couldn’t resist and took her home. The Clark home was already occupied by two beautiful Golden Retrievers, Makai and Kuloa who weren’t too keen on another sibling. After a few days of trying to find a home for Molly they knew it was too late, they had already fallen in love. The Goldens eventually accepted Molly and
Molly had the home of her dreams.
Molly was taken to a vet for a checkup and they estimated she was around 4 at that time. That was 1991. The last 13 years went by too fast. Mike and Linda lost their Goldens to cancer a few months apart but they still had Molly. I think Molly was a little hairy angel sent to be there for Mike and Linda during that awful time in their lives. You see these aren’t just dogs to us, they are a part of our family and losing one takes away a part of our hearts.
Today May 17, 2004 we lost another part of our hearts. Our sweet girl had been battling cancer since last September. What a fight she put up. That little girl gave it her all and Mike and Linda gave her the best of care for the past 8 months. We buried her on our ranch next to her friends, Bobbi, Nikki, and Casey, plus numerous little feline friends.
Molly is at the Rainbow Bridge having
a great time with all of them.
Molly B had a great life. She traveled more than most people, saw a lot of wonderful sights. She had been to the San Juan Islands and stayed in the best hotels and even had room service. Yes, Molly B knew exactly what she was doing when she walked into Mikes office that day so long ago. We will always miss you Molly B and
you will always be in our hearts.
We will love you forever,
