Gaby by Carol Luciane

My Gaby died Thursday March 31,2005 in our arms..she had been in the hospital for a week with anemia and came home this past Monday..we thought maybe the medicine would work but she became weaker and weaker…My Gaby was only 7 1/2 yrs old and she was our baby..We miss her so much..it hurts so bad even though I know she is in a better place…I have a picture of her taken this year and you can see a rainbow..

We love you Gaby,
Grammy and Papa

“Our Gaby”

One day the sound of four little paws
came into our life
and joined us as we are now
husband and wife

This little pup
we knew from the start
named Gaby Hayes
would touch many hearts

Gaby grew up slowly
and liked to play
where’s the bony
and Mr. Squirrel today

Gaby accompanied us on walks
and she has been our best friend
the love we have for her
will never end

Gaby jumped up for kisses
and jumped up in the chair
and hoping a treat
is what we would spare

Gaby’s given us pleasure
and she walked upright
and often there were times
she didn’t let us out of her sight

Gaby slept with us every night
and napped with us during the day
and has been loved
more than any words can say

Gaby did get older
and had to permanately sleep
losing her was hard
made us weep

What a great dog
she means so much
and we will miss mostly
Gaby’s soft touch

We do miss Gaby
the feeling is so odd
but the Angels took her
to be with God

She is in heaven
and prayers we do say
and we know we will both
be with her some day

but until we see her
one day again
we keep her memories close
she’s our best friend

so as you look at the pictures of Gaby
please do not tear
just talk to her and God
by saying a prayer
