I rescued Billy through a friend who had see him abandoned & dejected in a supermarket carpark. He had been left there to die alone & unwanted because he was old. From the very beginning Billy & I became pals & I gave him love, warmth, food but especially love. In return Billy gave me pleasure & comanionship. He was an old boy so he walked at my pace, very steady. We were only together for 8 months but it seemed that I had had him from a puppy; we became close. Billy went to sleep in my arms on Friday 14th April 2006.
He is now in a place where there is no pain. He was poorly & in pain that day & I knew I had to help him but it was one of the hardest things I have had to do. I cried that day as did my two friends who were with me but I knew it wasn’t fair to Billy to prolong his suffering. We will never know what suffering Billy went through but I know now that he will suffer no more. Run with the wind Billy. You are gone but you will never be forgotten, in our hearts always.
Love always,
Billy |
