Wally was rescued from a WalMart parking lot and brought to our rescue group. I was afraid that he wasn’t going to survive the weekend. He was only a baby and suffered from Red Mange, fleas, mal-nourishment and fever. It took several months of treatment for Wally to be able to even climb steps. He was so grateful for our care and we fell in love with his goofy smile. Wally’s growth was stunted from his horrible beginings. We knew his heart was weak, even though he had a heart of gold. He died so suddenly, with no goodbyes. We are thankful for the time we were given. Just wished we’d have had more.
We miss you and love you. We buried you on the south hill so you’ll be able to watch over us, and I can look out the window and see where you are resting. Thank you for being such a great friend to everyone you met. We’ll miss your smile.
With Love,
Wally |
