Lexie was a very tiny red short haired Dachshund. Just 6.5 lbs. We had 9 great years and loved her more than life itself. 10 days ago she started crying with pain. I brought her to my vet who is one of the best in town every day. But Lexie was not improving. We found out she had a bad disc in her neck. On Tuesday morning March 4 I brought her to the Animal Hospital that specializings in surgery for dogs. Lexie had her surgery yesterday on Thursday March 6 and 2 hours after she went into cardica arrest. We buried her this morning. She was such a joy with a wonderful personally. She slept with us for 9 years. We are in shock, heartbroken & so upset. She sang and gave us so much love. We will miss her for a very long time. I just wish I could hold her one more time. I know she is not in pain anymore. Her sister Lanie, another Dachshund had back surgery two years ago and is doing fine. She is also grieving.
If I could only kiss and hold her one more time.
