We got Daisy from the Humane Society only a short 5 years ago and was told she was picked up in Puerto Rico and that she was a street dog. She had heart worm disease. When they brought her to Florida they treated her and put her up for adoption but no one wanted her because of her illness. We looked beyond her medical condition and adopted her anyway. She had a rough first six months learning how to live in a house with people and getting along with another dog. She grew into our family in no time. She ended up being the protector to her sister, Abby. We found out only a couple of months ago that she had Osteosarcoma and they gave her 4 months. Tonight she passed away right in front of our eyes. She will be missed terribly by everyone.
