HANK WAS A RESCUE FROM A HOME WHO NO LONGER WANTED HIM BECAUSE HE WAS A RUNNER. HE WOULD NOT STAY HOME NO MATTER WHAT. THEY DID NOT WANT TO ACCOMMODATE HIM. WE MADE A 200 FOOT DOG RUN RUN ROPE WITH A 40 FEET CABLE LEASH AND HE WAS VERY HAPPY. AND YES HE DID ESCAPE A FEW TIMES BUT ALWAYS CAME HOME. HE WAS THE MOST ROYALISTIC DOG I HAVE EVER SEEN, HIS GOOD LOOKS, HIS INTELLIGENCE AND CLEVERNESS WAS ALMOST TO REAL TO BE TRUE. HE ONE TIME GOT INTO THE DOVE CANDIES AND WE GOT HIM, HE WENT AND LAID ON THE FLOOR, AND WE SAID OL HANK CHOC IS BAD FOR YOU. SO WE WENT OVER TO PET HIS HEAD AND HE SHUT HIS MOUTH REAL QUICK. WE KNEW HE HAD SOMETHING. HE HAD A DOVE CANDY HIDDEN ON HIS TONGUE INSIDE OF HIS MOUTH, IT WAS JUST LIKE A LITTLE BOY GETTING CAUGHT WITH A COOKIE BEHIND HIS BACK.
HANK WAS BRAVE AND WITH HIS PASSING TODAY, A HUGE VOID HAS OCCURRED. I AM NOT SURE IF THAT CAN EVER BE FILLED. HE HAD A LIFE THAT MOST PEOPLE COULD ONLY DREAM OF. WE LOVED HIM THEN WE COULD EVER IMAGINE LOVING A DOG. HE WAS JUST THE MOST GENTLE DOG WITH EVERYONE. HE LOVED EVERYONE AND I NEVER HEARD HIM GROWL AT ANYTHING. HE WAS VERY LOVING AND PATIENT DOG WITH US.
FREE TO RUN IN HEAVEN NOW,
HANK |
