Katie by Maggie Anderson / Momma and Papa

Katie came in to our life in April 2003 as a stray puppy wandering the neighborhood. Our vet said if we wouldn’t have taken her in she would have not survived much longer due to all the fleas, ticks and worms. She was our daughter, the word DOG was never used as ours truly believe as we do they are our kids. Katie was very loving but always the alpha female. She was mainly a quiet, laid back girl but when that beagle nose found a scent she was on fire!

She developed cancer last year and then around New Years of this year she lost her vision and was diabetic. She did well with the vision loss and her insulin but on 2/17/12 she suffered possibly a stroke or the cancer went to her brain and we had to put her down. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and miss her every day.

We had her cremated and her remains are kept in our bedroom. Katie touched us deeply and will never be forgotten, her favorite was when I sang You are my Sunshine to her. We love you Katie!!!

We love you baby girl,
Katie
