Our Beloved Bonnie,
Did you know that you were mommy and daddy’s very first pet? Growing up, neither one of us had a pet. Then, when we moved to our new home, we were able to get the first pet of our lives; it was you — Bonnie! You were so easy to care for and so much fun. You brought a great deal of happiness and lots of love to us in our new home! We couldn’t have been luckier! You were a wonderful first pet and we loved you so much. We are truly thankful for having had you in our lives.
Bonnie, we were devastated when you suddenly became critically ill. We tried everything possible to bring you home, even for a few days; however, it was impossible to do without you having oxygen to keep you comfortable. Mommy and daddy are very sorry that we had to say goodbye to you, our love, at the hospital. We want you to know that you were lovingly held in our arms and gently kissed goodbye
as you went to sleep.
Now that you have left us, our life has been the saddest without you. Being hit with the sudden fact that you weren’t coming home again was hard to accept. When you were hospitalized, the house became so quiet and now it is much worse because we know you are gone forever. We lost you, our little girl at the age of thirteen, whom we had for most of our married life. We are blessed to have many loving and fond memories of your life with us; but the time we spent with you seems fleeting now.
Mommy and daddy miss you terribly and for always.
