I originally REFUSED the idea of EVER having another animal. EVER. But fortunately you chose us as your forever family. I first met your mother. So gentle. Then I met you Max. You had already been named Maximus after Saint Maximus the Confessor. I fell in love with you, this amazing creature, before I ever left the yard. I took you home, and put you on the floor. You were small, but came up to my mid calf. I proceeded to clean our house with Marilyn Manson blasting on the stereo. Needless to say, you spent the first three days in our home hiding under our bed on the second floor. We finally coaxed you out, and you has never left our sides since. You were there when Jorge joined the military, you spent 6 months with Carol
while we lived in an apartment.
You were there when my Father passed away, and you helped me grieve for that loss by never leaving my side. You have lived with us in Indiana, Virgina, Ohio (6 months), Florida, Georgia, New York, and your final home here in Germany. You smiled everyday of his life. And loved each one of us in the way we wanted to love each other, UNCONDITIONALLY. I can only hope that we were able to give you back the things
that you gave to us.
You were blessed by the Patron Saint of Animals, so I know you are back with your mother, having fun doing all the things these past few months, you were unable to. I can’t wait to see you again my friend, by no means is our journey together over. But they have been the best 14 yrs! You will be missed until we see you again.
You possess or hearts still, We love you.
