My little Cody dog was the best friend.
When he was a young dog he would run like the wind.
He was always faithful and loving.
He would greet us at the door when we came home and was
always glad to see us.
He loved cookies and sausages. Actually any people food!
I would sometimes cook sausages in the morning
for my husband and I always cooked one for Cody
and one for our other house dog Mickey.
It was their treat and boy how they loved them.
We had to put Cody to sleep a couple of days ago and
I am so sad I can’t stand it.
I miss him so bad and I feel guilty that we had to do that.
When I told him good-bye it was so hard.
He just looked at me as if he knew something was very wrong.
He became ill suddenly and the doctor said it was for the best.
Every room in the house has a memory of Cody.
He would always be laying on the floor beside my chair
when I worked at the computer.
He was always laying on the floor when I was
in the kitchen.
He had his own pillow bed beside my side of the bed.
He was 14 years old and had gotten to stiff and sore to jump on
the bed or couch anymore.
My husband even put up a flood light at the outside steps
just so Cody could see to get up the steps better at night.
He was our little Cody and no other dog could ever
replace him.
He loved us so and we loved him so.
Mickey is grieving for him also and we don’t know
how to help him.
He has been Cody’s brother/friend for 8 years.
Oh Cody I miss you so.
We miss you and will love you forever.
Good-bye my little Cody dog.

Mom loves you.
