I was estatic when our Rottweiler female gave birth
to 7 healthy puppies.
All but one found good homes immediately.
That one was Casey whose name means in Gaelic
“brave & vigilant”.
She was only 2 months old when she was taken from me and
the loss is so deep that I cry myself to sleep at night.
She and I would watch Animal Planet together in the evenings
and now without her things just aren’t the same.
Her mother misses her dearly also.
They would wrestle and chase balls together.
My only consolation is that I will see my precious baby
Casey again at the Rainbow Bridge.
