It has been barely one month and I still cry when I look at your pictures. I miss you so. How selfish, but I know if you were here now you could help and comfort me as I go through one of the worst trials of my life. You came to me, the sole surviving pup of Java’s litter, at a time when I needed you and we were blessed with your years of devotion and good times. All was not well during your later years and I hope you did not endure any suffering that I could not see.
I could not bear to have you suffer, so when it became apparent that you would be better in the hands of the Lord, I let you go. While you wait for me, run again and bark again and go find Daddy and Java and Symba Li. I love you Schnapps and will never forget you.
