I’d got up quite late one Tuesday and it was about 11-ish. I’d had a late night before, and I fed my gerbil called Smokey went downstairs and my granddad said go and feed the animals outside so I went fed my 2 guinea pigs Bubble and Squeak and then went to feed my rabbit Floppsey (Bless him) and I gave him his food and he didn’t want it. I gave him his water but no change. He just wasn’t interested.

I got him out of his hutch and he had a runny nose so I put him in a few blankets in a box with food or water thinking he might of caught a chill but by about 4 O’Clock. He had got worse so I rushed him down the vets. He was still quite jumpy though not as jumpy as norm and the vet cleaned his nose and when he did Floppsey went all floppy as if didn’t have no energy. I was in tears really upset.

The vet weighed him and said his stomach feels quite swollen so they kept him in overnight giving him drugs to see if they would help but the next day I was just waking up when I heard the phone ring my granddad answered and I heard him say “how is he?”and then there was a pause and i heard him say “oh no” then I knew I felt inside what had happened and went into tears.

I was so upset that when the girls said his name in school I broke down. They couldn’t understand. A week or two after he died I got my first dog. I was excited but sad.

In the next few days of my guinea pigs died the runt Squeak (bless him) and Bubble his brother was lonely so ended up getting 2 others Doodle and Tango who got on well with Bubble and then a week after that my gerbil Smokey died of an old age of 4. (Bless him)

Now I have 3 guinea pigs Bubble, Doodle, Tango,
a hamster called Candy,
a dog called Sophie (Welsh Border Collie Cross)
and a new rabbit called Bethany.

I love all my pets even if half are in heaven.
