to ease all your suffering,
in the name of love for you.
How we carried you so gently,
it would be your final ride.
I sat so close and held you,
I never left your side.
We bore you home so quiet,
and buried you so near,
with you my heart I sent
and I cannot find it here.
For if God lives above us,
I pray He grants me peace,
and if he stepped in that day,
He must now give release,
that I may go on in my life,
and find a lasting peace.
We meet again someday,
