by Maria Bruni / My Very Precious Girl

I rescued a Persian adult cat at the ASPCA 2 years ago. At the time they told me that she was 10 years old. When I went into the room to see the cats, I saw this beautiful grey and white cat who approached the front of the cage as I entered the room, it looked like she was saying hello to me. I feel that she picked me out to take her home. I asked to hold her and she seemed so sweet. So I took her home. I also feel in love with another adult cat the next day I picked him up also. I named the Persian, Willow. I called her my precious girl. She was very precious. Willow really entered into my heart like no other being had.

I lost willow on Friday, August 24, 2007. I had taken her to the vet, she had lost weight. The doctor told me by the blood work that she had had an infection. I was to give her antibiotics and feed her by syringe. My Precious Girl only lasted another 2 days. I think she was in pain when she died. She cried out from under the bed. I was on the phone with the hospital telling them that I think my cat is very sick.
I was told to bring her in.

I went to pick her up and she was lifeless. I was in a state of shock. I rushed her to the vet hospital a few blocks away. The pain of losing her is very fresh. I light a candle for her every night in front of her picture. I will always hold My Precious Girl in my heart. And hope we will meet again.

With all of my love, Maria.
