Cross became part of our family at seven weeks all. She was a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix. She was this adorable teddy bear. Our baby girl appointed herself our guardian, protector and never fail to be on the job. She was the love of my husband’s life, when he died she lay down on his side of the bed and stay there until the final good byes were done. She was the pack leader and the two boys are lost without her. Cross I miss you so much that I cannot believe that you are gone and your ashes are placed on the mantel along with your bowl, leash, and collars, the candles burn all day and the flowers bloom for you my baby girl. Two weeks before that fateful day, you insisted walking to the front of the house, and it was almost like you were saying good bye to the world that was yours.
Today a beautiful pink/purple flower is blooming on your favorite spot. Grows in spite of the snow, the frost, is untouched by the weather. I know is you telling us that you are well and have joined “daddy” in heaven. Is so hard to go on without you, is not possible that your job is done and you have gotten your wings and learned how to fly. Now your ashes sit on the mantel as a sad memorial to your life, your love, your loyalty, baby I miss you so much and it is so hard to came home and you are not at door to greet me with your sweet smile. I miss you Cross until we meet again. Cross 12/23/1999-10/20/2011
