Today I found Persia alone in the road. I noticed she looked terrible so I pulled over. I picked her up and took her with me in hopes of getting her checked out, cleaned up, and finding her a good loving home. She was tested and had AIDS and was emaciated with many sores and fleas. Her fron teeth were ground down and she was malnourished. We decided to put her down and to not let her suffer any longer. It was NOT easy to do that but knew in my heart it was the right thing to do knowing she would no longer suffer and be in pain. My heart hurts as I think about her little life but she had no chance on living any kind of decent, happy, or loving life. There was no one there to love and care for her and she would have died hungry and painfully and alone. She is now at peace and with no more suffering and I feel somewhat better knowing she will no longer live a lonely, painful, and diseased life. I wished I only would have found her earlier…. You’re now in my heart Persia
where you will ALWAYS remain….

Love Always,
Paul
