One day I decided to purchase a dog for my two young children and did the research to find out which dog would be the best…everyone told me that a Yellow Lab would be great…so I went and bought one.
I named her Abby and she was not only a wonderful pet, but also a drug dog for the police. The only problem was she was such a loving dog she wasn’t aggressive enough for the police so she was retired to live a long and fun life with us.
Unfortunately, my father moved his motor home and accidentally ran over her one weekend. We had to take her to the vet and they said the only thing they could do for her was to euthanize her. That broke all of our hearts, but we all stayed with her while they gave her pain meds first, and then the shot. She was very comfy but there were 6 adults crying holding her while it happened.
She was very comforted by our presence and went on to doggy heaven.
God Bless her for her loving spirit and time on this Earth that she made our world much happier. Bless you Abby and I pray that you are in a happy, wonderful place that I can visit you one day. I love you sweetie!!!
We love you always,
Abby |
