Tessa by Anonymus / Shekiah

Tessa was a beautiful dog who loved attention and would even sit infront of you almost sending you falling to the ground, and then look up at you as if to say “Well? What are you waiting for? Go on, give us a good scratch!”

Whenever I was sad or just needed a hug, she would hang around me until I sat down and just embraced my beautiful dog. It was better than hugging a human beacuse I could just sit there for hours while she patiently rested her head on my shoulder until I no longer needed her comfort.

I can’t think of a time where Tessa wasn’t smiling! All my memories include her big, panting, smiley face! Unfortunately in 2002, Tessa was hit by a car and had to have her right leg amputated.

She become quite stressed after the operation and her skin began coming up with all sorts of rashes and scabs…Generally she lost alot fo condition.

Two years later she formed an arthritis in her spine from all the stress in her back leg.
We used all sorts of remedies on that until one day when we took her to the vet to get her arthritis checked, the vet discovered a cancer in the stump of her amputated leg…

Tragically we had to get her put down.

The memory of my beautiful golden retriever will carry on forever for those that loved her as deeply as I did icluding my Older Sister and Younger Brother.
