Thank you for being my friend, my companion, my comfort. You gave me an unconditional love far beyond what most of my so-called human “loved ones” have given me. You loved me on my worst days as well as my best. You were there even when I was so busy that I forgot you were there. You were my dear one.

I love you so that I can’t bear being without you. My heart is breaking because you are gone. I shall never, ever forget you. You are always in my heart, my “short fat boy”, my Meiko. Rest with God.
