Swing by LaToneya / LaToneya and Mommy
We love you so much Swing!!!! We hope that you enjoyed your life. The nine years you gave us were the most wonderful years we had ever experienced. You were loyal, sincere, dedicated, and loving. You were the best dog that we ever had. There will never be another that will come close to being in our heart as you are! We miss you and we promise to think about you forever! We are so sorry that you died so soon, and we hope that you are safe and happy.
Love Nu, Granny, Grandpa, Mommy, Grandma, Boozie, and your many many friends! We love you Swing!

Swing was an angel for our home. He was dutiful to everyone in our house. His day started at 5:30am, when he sat on the porch with his Papa. Grandpa and Swing would sit on the porch and watch the birds until it was time for Grandpa to go to work at 6am.
Then, Swing would run upstairs to watch Nu get dressed for work and he would lay in the hallway between the bathroom and Nu’s room– so he can wait for Nu to leave and check on Grandma for a little while. Then at 7am, he galloped downstairs. When Nu opened the downstairs door for him, he would stand at the landing between the two floors at watch Nu leave for work.
Then when he heard the front gate close, Swing ran downstairs to see Granny. He walked to her bed and made sure she was ok. Then he went to his Mommy’s room to finish his sleep before, she left for work. At 11, he’d go back upstairs to get his wonderful head rub from Boozie, and he’d watch “The Price is Right” with Grandma.
They’d watch the rest of their morning broadcasts until 4pm, when Nu and Papa return home. Swing would go outside to wait for his Papa’s white van and wait to see Nu walking off the bus. He’d get his walk from Nu and then go inside and play with Papa. At 6pm, Swing took his nap until 11pm, when Mommy comes home. He’d run outside and wait to see her drive up. Finally it’s bedtime and Swing goes to everybody’s room and says good night.
On July 21,2003, he did this routine while struggling to stand and breathe. But he made sure he spent his last breath looking at all the people who loved him. He looked up at Nu’s eyes and she said it was “ok, go ahead Baby, let it go” and he drew his last breaths. But he turned and looked at Grandma and she stayed with him
as he made his transition.
He was at home with the people who loved him, in his favorite spot (the living room floor) and he was never alone. We still feel him in the house and we will never leave him alone.
We love you Swing.
