Lottie by Martin / Special Friend

Lottie,

I promised when it was time I would not see you suffer. I believe it was time. I love you and thank you for all the good times, the meaning you gave to my life. After my diagnosis I was not sure how to carry on,
when you came the light shone.

I remember when we went to Wales and I let you off the lead, you stayed close then and ever afterwards.

I am sorry for the times I took things out on you, for you loved me without limits.
Dad and I miss you badly now and probably always will. The last days of your life were painful but I will remember you at your best: with your head on my pillow, trousering Dad in the morning and the pea game.
