Gizmo by Rosie / Rosie

Hello,

I am 12 years old and I want to tell you the story of my dog. His name was Gizmo Cheyenne. I was 3 years old when I got Gizmo and I have always loved him. But since he was a big chow he wasn’t aloud inside because we moved into my grandmothers house. So he got bitten by an infected mosquito. He also understood us. He was pretty,
he looked like a bear.

When he was a puppy boys used to come over and beat him with sticks. He never liked boys since.
Gizmo had a sort of smile, when we took him to the vet he would smile and smile. Even when he got his medicene. We did go to get him put down. Dr. Bob was his vet and he said “I can’t put him down, he still smiles at me.” Well in 2002 he stopped smiling.

The night he died I was at church it was over the summer and my mom was an hour late. We she came she said “Rosie, I have to tell you something,” and I just started crying I knew Gizmo
was going to die that day.

I did get to see him on that day but I never did tell him ‘goodbye’ so I visit his grave often. That’s the story of the best dog in the world.

Gizzy, you came to me when I was three,
you where with me when I climbed my first tree,
and when I skinned my knee,
but now you’re dead,
and I miss seeing your beutiful head,
I look at you’re picture before bed,
but I wish you where here,
and sometimes I hope you are still near,
I do have a fear,
that you have left,
but I feel I’m mistaken,
butyou where taken,
and I will alway love you………
