Sugar Tarrell by Marlena
Dear Sugar
You came to us one fall evening as a wife to Teddy Bear. Later that week you and he finally discovered that you were opposite sex and then the courtship began. You were to be his wife but alas before you knew each other very long you led Teddy to his untimely demise.
I loved you regardless even though your wanderlust was always there. Escape was your middle name and I knew that you always would because of your desire to be with your first love Teddy Bear. You did escape one last time and as we closed in to retrieve you you bolted out to make your way to The Rainbow Bridge.
I pray now sweet little girl that you are happy and safe up there with your only love Teddy Bear. Sweet dreams little girl and
we will see you soon.
Love from
Mom and Dad.
Happy hunting little girl.
Casey-Lee by Chris
It has been one year today since I had to have the love of my life put to sleep. It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. I knew it was time but it was so hard to take him to the vet. and have them put that needle in him. I will never forget holding him in my arms as he passed away. I wanted to lay beside him and go on the journey with him.
I knew how scared he was to go on alone because we were inseparable. He was with me every day no matter where I went. We walked in the woods for hours or I took him to his favorite places to catch fish-witch was his favorite pastime. I called him my fishing Doberman. People would gather around and watch him catch fish. This poem sums up exactly
how I felt about him.
MESSAGE TO A FRIEND
I miss you so much;
my four legged friend
I ask myself each day
if the pain will ever end
Your loss is so hard
for one person to bear
because we were a team;
an inseparable pair.
You were by my side
when I got up each day
Waiting so patiently
to go out and play.
You were there each night
when I got home
Waiting to go to the park
where you could roam.
You always knew
if I was having a bad day
So you would snuggle up close
and try to get me to play.
If that didn’t work
you’d put your head in my lap
Then make yourself comfortable and
take a nap.
One way or another
you would brighten my day
Like only you could;
you had a special way.
You gave me a lifetime
of memories to hold
Through all the years ahead;
till I am gray and old.
I promise I’ll see you
again one day
When we’ll be together again
to go run and play.
Your loss is a cross
I will just have to bear
Because you and
I know we’re an inseparable pair.

Petey by Christy
Wade’s Little Petey”
It’s hard to beleive that you are gone right now. It hasn’t even been a week. I see you everywhere and hear you bark but I know that it’s not you. I miss you snoring and dreaming all of those dreams and barking in your sleep. I will always wonder what you were dreaming about…
I know that you knew we loved you but I don’t think you knew how much. You were always there when an one was sick and always there to help me dry off after a bath.
Normal dogs bark when people come to a house but only you would bark and growl when they were leaving. Everyone would laugh when they left because they thought that was so funny. What I would do to hear you bark now…..
I think sometimes you thought you were a cat because I know you lived nine lives. You went through so many bad times but we always nursed you back to health. But this time
it wasn’t possible.
Thank You for ten years of wonderful times and being there all the time. No questions just unconditional love and understanding.
We all miss you very much

Squeak by Lisa
Squeak wasn’t a typical cat. He loved water! The first thing he did in the mornings was to jump in my bathtub and paw at the faucet until I turned the water on. He would paw at the water and then lick it from his paws. He was a little devil sometimes. He was a beautiful cat to behold but he only allowed you to touch him when he wanted to be touched. He did bite! But he was a good companion
when I was lonely.
He loved to stalk birds and wasn’t afraid of dogs either. His favorite resting place was on the back of my chairs where he could see everything. I have gotten much enjoyment out of just watching the things that he did. He will be missed by all of us
but he lives in our hearts.

Daisy Mae by Steve & Rosemary
Daisy came into our life at a time of grief and lifted us up so we could move on …She was house broke in one day and always seemed to know right from wrong in the ways of a dog.
Thoughout her life she gave us unconditional love. She was our fishing partner. She loved to go anywhere. She always was obiedient & never once ever offered to bite or even growl.
She survived falling out of a moving car a house robbery & a pancreas attack. She was one of many dogs we have had in our lifetime. She was the best one of them all. We could not stand to see her in pain in her old age …If there is a dog heaven we know she is there. She will be missed the rest of our life.
We pray we will
see her again.

Chance by Debbi
My Chance was a very special boy! He came to me when he was 5 1/2 weeks old. He was taken from me when he was a year old. I found him seven weeks later starved and near death. I found out later what My Chance had endured in that seven weeks. He was beaten kicked starved stabbed punched and used to fight. The next five years were slow and rough. It took four long years for Chance to remember how to wag his tail and that was
a momentous day for us.
We went to classes and I worked with him always hoping that he would learn to trust me again. He never did! The man who took him (and destroyed him) is the kind of person that believes that a dog has no feelings whatsoever. He’s the kind of man that has never been kissed by a friend that would lay down his life for you. The kind of man that believes that dogs are something to use for his own enjoyment. He’s the kind of man that will never know the kind of unconditional love that a dog is capable of. That is something that very few humans
know how to do.
On April 18 2002 My Chance was put to rest because of the ignorance of a man that could never know what it’s like to have a friend like I had in Chance before he got him. In the end Chance’s abuse was too much for him and the abuse won. I liked to call him my “grouchy old man”. My “baby boy”. My “Chancums”. My “Baby”. Now I cry every day for the friend that I will miss forever. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my friend!
His sisters Ruby and Kavik miss him still. Ruby stopped eating for a long time after he went away. She still looks for him every morning when we go to the field to play. She always hesitates looking for her beloved brother to jump out of the van and play with her once again. He taught her to pee with her leg hiked just like him. Kavik still tries to play with Chances big red “BULLY” ball and Ruby won’t let her.
She doesn’t want it for herself she just doesn’t want Kavik to touch it. I miss my friend and my companion. Good-bye my dear sweet friend. I’ll miss you always. Wait for us at the “Rainbow Bridge”. We’ll all be together again. Be happy my friend. I love you more
than you ever knew.

It has only been 2 days since you left us we miss you so much! I think of you all the time remembering all the crazy things you use to do you’re everywhere. My most fond memory of you is when you use to take the sponges out of my bucket when I would clean the floor and take them under the bed. Your face when you would come out from the dresser drawer when I shook the treat bag. I still can not bring myself to clean up all the toys sponges and who knows what else from under the bed.
The pain of losing you is almost unbearable but I know I’ll see you again. Princess misses you too! You will forever live on in our hearts and our memories of you will last till the end of time! I love you very much my beloved lil guy!
Come visit me often.
Love you much and
miss you immensely

10 years was not enough.
I didn’t see the end coming
until it was too late.
I will miss:
Seeing you sleep
in a patch of sunlight
Waking up to you
scratching my shoulder
as if to say get up
You bringing me a string
when it was time to play
You visiting me at my computer
knowing I had a treat for you
Burying my face in your soft fur
Feeling and hearing
your purrrrrr
Having you come running
when I open a can of tuna
You rubbing your face
into a brush
Scratching the base
of your tail while you ate
Your weight on the bed at my feet
too many things
But most of all
your friendship and love.

Apollo by Vicki
You were so young only the age of 3. Life dealt you a hard hand. You were loved and will never be forgotten. You were my child and mama loved you. I wish there was more that we could have done to fight the cancer that so horifically took you from us one day at a time. Daddy and I will never forget you and
your loving way.
I miss you greeting me at the fence when I get home and fighting to keep you out when I let Pebbles out. Pebbles misses you too. She goes outside looking for you every day. My heart is broken and you will never be replaced. You will be with my father now who will take care of you and you should take care of him.
I think about you everyday.
You will always live on in my heart… Rest in peace without pain. Puting you to sleep was the hardest choice I have ever had to make. I hope that I never have to make that same decision again. I love you and miss you very much. You will be safe in haven with my dad to walk side by side with you. But no more nipping ladies
in the rear. 🙂

My “SPECIAL BABY”
You came into my life four years ago. Handed into the local R.S.P.C.A you were such a poor neglected bundle of knots. We let you out of the basket you immediately ran under the wardroom and we never saw any more of you for ten days. We knew you were coming out of a night time as the food was disappearing. Eventually you decided to trust me but you were so nervous.
You let me groom you but under protest. It wasn’t something you really liked having done. I used to tell you what a ‘PRETTY GIRL’ you were but you were having none of that. You liked your self best after you had had a good scratch roll round the floor and looked right tatty. I didn’t care how you looked
I just loved you.
You were always on the nervous side but I gained your trust. Sadly we were only together four years
when a kidney and anemia problem
took you from me.
Memories of you
will never fade.
I love you “MY SPECIAL BABY”.

IN LOVING MEMORY
OF MY MOMMA DOG BUFFY
MOTHER OF BETHANY AND PETEY.
Dear Buffy
2 weeks ago the last of your children Bethany died on the same day you did 14 years ago. I will never forget the date April 29th ever again. The past 2 weeks memories have flooded my mind of how it all started and what you meant to me. I can remember well Christmas Eve 1981 when you were given to me. A little roly-poly puppy with long fur and sad eyes. I had no idea what a Golden Retriever’s love was all about at the time but I was soon to find out. You gave me so much love and asked for little in return. You slept by my side and went everywhere I did.
When your pedigree arrived I was amazed at the champions in your past. No wonder you were such a beautiful loyal gentle devoted companion. I knew I had to breed you because I desparately wanted more of you. When you gave birth in 1986 you gave me the most precious gifts of all Bethany and Petey. When you died unexpectedly I was so sad for myself and your 2 year old children.
We all missed you so much but as I watched Petey grow. I saw you in everything he did and how he looked. Your children were little clones of you and I thanked God for keeping Bethany and Petey. Well Buffy because of you I had the honor of being with Golden Retrievers for 20 years. Your children out lived you by 14 years but you are now reunited in heaven.
You were the start of the most beautiful experience in my life. I will never forget how much I loved you and Bethany and Petey. No other goldens will ever take your places in my heart. You will never be forgotten. I loved you so much. You were the best momma dog in the whole wide world.
Lovingly remembered and
sadly missed.

My Rookie girl…
My Love…My Life.
We had a wonderful 14 years together but it still seems like it wasn’t enough. The first time I saw you I fell in love. For such a little kitten you had so much fire in you. I remember you hissing and growling at me while you tried to hide in the bricks. I just laughed and placed you in my hand. You were no bigger than my palm.
I remember our cuddle times and “Chicken of the Sea” When you passed you took my heart. I love you and wait for me at the bridge. Please have fun with Berry and Lady and all the other friends you meet there.
Love Cuddles and Kisses!

Bitty Boy by Carol & Jeff
Oh My Precious Bitty Boy
I will never forget you. There will never be another dog like you. You had a special personality that everyone commented on. You were a little nutty and always a joy. You ran so many circles you made me dizzy. You never refused to take me swimming. I loved the way you climbed on my back in the pool
for a piggy back ride.
It was so much fun having you in my life. You were a surrogate mother to the kittens and because of you they turned out great. You barked until you permanently lost your voice but I never tired of hearing you “talk”.
How can I ever thank you enough for all the smiles you gave me. I hope you are happy now and at peace. I will always keep
you in my heart.
Sleep well my special friend.

Dear Pepito
You came to us 13 years ago you chose us we did not choose you and since you entered our home you became the leading loving member of our family. You transformed everyday’s harshness into a pure source of love and happiness. Your very exceptionnal character took hold of us without letting us feel it with your noble and dignified discretion you taught us the very real meaning of love.
You were always socializing with all our friends and visitors and always succeeded in being the star with no effort. We have loved you with all our hearts. You were my great love. Your absence is unbearable and if there ever is a place up above where we all meet my wish is that we see each other again and that I shall be able to hold you and tell you
how much I love you and
always will.

It was only a day ago that I lost you. You were my beloved best friend. I know I wasn’t home alot the past month or two and I am so sorry for that. I miss you dearly. Last night I couldn’t sleep I thought I Could hear your bark or the jingle that you made
when you walked around.
Nothing Could Ever replace those 10 years with you. You had a good life but mommy decided that you were too old you shook and couldn’t hold your urine and then she decided that it was time to put you out of your misery. I will always believe you still had alot of good life left in you but nothing can change
what has happened.
Your life has ended too abrubtly and I am dearly sorry about it. I know I promised you that I wouldn’t let her put you down… but maybe it’s for the better…. now you’re in doggie heaven… now you can play with Nikki… if you remember her she was gramma and grampa’s doggie… you were such a happy little pup… yesterday as you walked down the hall way to your last moments…. ! your fate… I could barely contain my tears and sadness. Then I saw your lifeless body
after you were gone….
You looked like you always did when you rested on the couch… I thought that maybe you woulkd get up off that cold metal table but you didn’t…. you were gone… I feel so guilty for not being able to stop the inevitable. I will always remember my Winnie.
Love you always
Your best friend Christina

It’s been almost 5 months since you left us. It seems like so much longer though. We are still shocked and saddened at your sudden passing. We don’t know why you died so suddenly and wish we could have known what was wrong so we could have helped you. You never seemed sick were always playing and eating and then you were just gone. We miss you something awful. I know you are ok now and waiting in Heaven for the day when we will all be together again.
Until that time
you are in our memories and
hearts always.
I know you will continue
to visit us in our dreams.
