Keisha by The DiCristina Family / Daddy , Mommy, Dennis & Keith

I can still remember, the day we brought Keisha home. She was only Three months old. We had just moved into our new home four months prior and our boys wanted a dog. She was an adorable ball of fur. She was so frightened, she wouldn’t move out of the kitchen. We placed her in a corner of the family room, with her water, a blanket and a board, which we thought she wouldn’t be able to jump over on the first night home. In the morning I came down to get her and there she sat on the other side of the board wagging her tail! So much for being frightened! Keisha was with us for 14 years, as long as we have been in our home. It seems as if a part of our home is missing now. But we know she is in a better place. We only hope she happy in her new home and that she knows we miss her dearly.

They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.
We never wanted memories, We only wanted you.
A million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.
In our heart you hold a place no one else could fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane.
We’d walk the path to Heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us back one by one, the chain will link again.
